Wire Packer Cups
Wire inserts are used throughout the world. Wires allow for constant expansion and contraction of wires. They are used in washing wells and other applications where constant working of the cup is expected.
Guiberson-style wire cups provide the durability and sealability you need for even the harshest conditions. Packer cups with reinforcing wires have an extra-strong base, which allows the cup to handle extreme pressures. Since the reinforcing wires interlock within a metal bushing, this design provides tighter sealing as well as extra protection against high pressure.
GW packer cups work by automatically forming tight seals to hold in pressure on the side where the lip is pointed. The lip then moves fluid in the opposite direction to act as a casing check valve. The strong, flexible lip has an oversize diameter so that compression against the cup is instant and provides positive sealing.
Packer cups with wire are also made with special gas- and oil-resistant compounds, making them ideal for oilfield applications.

Regular Basket Packer Cups
The Regular Basket Cup uses a single basket insert. Compared to the wire insert, the single basket is stiffer. Once the rubber expands in its application it also sets with less rebound than the wire insert. Many people have their own preferences when it comes to flexibility in their packer cups. The regular basket is an additional option when it comes to lip flexibility and setting options.
Heavy Duty Packer Cups
Double Basket inserts are used throughout the world. They are heat-treated for extra stability. They are designed for heavy-duty applications where high pressures or extreme circumstances require the durability of a double basket cup. Reinforced by a set of double baskets, the Heavy Duty Packer cup is the least flexible of the packer cups, but can also withstand higher-pressure applications. All Rubber Packer Cups
The all rubber cup is just that, all rubber. The base of the cup uses a reinforced insert much like the inserts used for wire packer cups. The difference being is the all rubber cup has no metal going throughout the cup. The advantage of the all-rubber cup is that this allows it to have more flexibility.
All Rubber Threaded Packer Cups
The All Rubber Threaded Packer Cup uses the same insert as the All Rubber cup but is threaded for easy assembly to the tool. It adds an additional option for tool assembly.

Global Elastomeric Products Inc. also offers a wide variety of cup packer units. We offer a variety of proprietary custom blends as well as standard rubber blends for these cups along with custom mandrel and box coupling assemblies.
We offer a variety of sized mandrels including our 2-7/8, 3-1/2, and 4-1/2 mandrels to work on any cup.
